Services are 10:00 am, Friday, August 15, 2014 at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, with Rev. Mike Reid officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Church Cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell was a retired seamstress with Movie Star, Inc. and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Family members include four children, Charlene Murray, Elaine (Don) Lee, Elizabeth Ann (Tony) Johnson, Jo Ann (Lynell) Lee; three sisters, Elenor, Mary Catherine, Mildred; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Sphrey Knue; her husband, Charles F. Mitchell; one son, Douglas Farrell Mitchell; and two sisters.
Visitation is 6:00 pm until 9:00, Thursday at the funeral home.
