
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday March 15, 2011 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville with Reverend Larry Pickering officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Crossroads.
A son of Terry Don and Maria Christine LaMothe Duplessis he was born August 24, 1977 in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1985 he and his family settled in Poplarville, Mississippi where he attended the local schools matriculating to the Pearl River Community College in Poplarville. After receiving his education he enlisted in the United States Army serving four years. Upon discharge from the military, Jeremy became employed with the University of Arkansas Police Department. Graduating third in his Academy class; he achieved a 95 % grade average on his coursework completed. During his tenure in law enforcement, he also taught self defense classes to entering freshman students. After moving home to Poplarville, Jeremy quickly became a blessing to his nearby friends and neighbors assisting them with needed tasks; even working as an assistant Yoga Instructor with his Mother in Bogalusa, LA. His life credo "Do Unto Others..."; he will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and community.
Left to cherish his memories are his parents; one brother, Joshua John Duplessis; one sister, Jeannine Marie Hamilton and her husband Kevin; three nieces, Kayla Hamilton, Jaelyn Hamilton, and Kiyah Hamilton; along with a host of aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Herman LaMothe, Jr. and Marguerite Lucille Detrige Lamothe; and his Paternal Grandparents, Alcide and Felice Ancarde Duplessis.
