Karen Morris

Karen Morris, age 82, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Born on September 21, 1942, Karen lived a life filled with love, laughter, and joy that touched all who knew her.

Karen is preceded in death by the love of her life, Don Morris; her mother, Margie Winters; her father Raymond Winters; her sister Sandra Winters; and her brother Raymond “Speedy” Winters Jr. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister Margie Elaine (Tommy) Lunsford; her daughters Cindy (Tommy) Lott and Penny (Charles) Thames; and her grandchildren Ashley (Daniel) Norris, Chase (Jenalee) Coleman, and Tanner Lott. Her legacy continues through five great-grandchildren

Chandler (Brentlea) Norris, Addison Norris, Reese Coleman, Riley Coleman, and Hadlee Norris and three great-great-grandchildren: Katie Layne Norris, Lainey Scott Norris, and Parker Kollyns Norris.

Karen found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid golfer and bowler who cherished time spent on the green or at the lanes. These hobbies brought her not only personal enjoyment but also lasting friendships and treasured memories.

Those who knew Karen will remember her as a radiant presence, someone who brought warmth and light into every room she entered. Her laughter was infectious, her spirit uplifting. She had a remarkable ability to make those around her feel loved.

May Karen’s memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing and continue to inspire joy in the lives she touched. A Service will be held at Oak Hill Baptist Church, 579 Oak Hill Road, Poplarville, Mississippi on Saturday, August 30, 2025, visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM with a service immediately following at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Poplarville.

The family would like to extend special gratitude to the staff of Wesley Medical Center, Arden Hospice, Dr. Grewal, and Blueberry Hill Personal Care Home where Karen lived and served as self proclaimed staff manager until the time of her passing.
