Linnie Sue Toomer

Linnie Sue Toomer, age 62, of Poplarville, Mississippi departed this life into God's presence on Thursday, March 6, 2025. She was born January 22, 1963 in Georgia. She was a member of Hickory Springs Baptist Church. Linnie married Martin Jim Toomer on January, 23, 1981. She graduated Nursing School at Pearl River Community College in 1987. While raising four children she served her community in various roles as a Registered Nurse. At the height of the covid pandemic she was able to fulfill her life dream and became a travel nurse. Linnie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many and mastered her craft as a nurse in her lifetime. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Massey, Jr.

Linnie leaves to cherish her memory to her loving husband, Martin Jim Toomer; parents, Larry and Sue Massey; daughter, Carolyn Sue Lilly (Lola) and her triplets, Michael Toomer (Rachel), Maggie Borden (John) and Mollie Lee (Dexter); four grandchildren, Lenora, Joanna, McKenzie and Amelia Rose; numerous fur grandbabies and one sister, Henrietta Massey.

Family and friends are invited to attend Linnie's visitation on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in McGehee Cemetery, 17224 McGehee Road, Bogalusa, Louisiana.
