Michael R Stone

A Memorial Service will be held at WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Bro. Joe Bowman will be officiating the service. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Stone was born in New York to Reavis Gene Stone, Sr. and Clara Belle Fales Stone on July 17, 1944. He retired from the Army in 1966. Michael and his family moved from San Diego in 2003 to Poplarville, Mississippi. He was a member of The Light House of Hope and Christian Life Assembly of God Church where he taught Sunday school and children’s church. He was in all the church plays and one of his fondest times was playing Frosty the Snowman. He absolutely loved Jesus, children, his family, pets, old gospel hymns, bowling and he just loved life. Michael spent a good amount of his time at the barber shop telling stories and listening to the town gossip.

Michael Stone is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joel David Stone.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife Donna Owens Stone; four children, Michael David Stone and his wife Lori, Rhonda Sue Page and her husband James, Candice Stone and Michael Christopher Stone; one brother, Reavis Gene Stone, Jr.; six grandchildren; his adopted Daughter Maria Powell and her daughter Akasha Rayford; adopted brothers, Harlan Amacker and Jason Pearson and numerous friends.
