Opal Cobb Bond

Mrs. Bond was born September 20, 1945 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was a retired convenience store manager and a member of North Spoon Baptist Church Tabernacle.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie George Cobb and Herlie Norwood Cobb; her husband, Shirley Edward Bond; and one sister, Ophelia Hatfield.

Family members include five brothers, Roy (Linda) Cobb, Robert (Linda) Cobb, Troy Cobb, Edward Cobb, Ervin (Judy) Cobb; one sister-in-love, Naomi Dufrene; her stepchildren, Bruce Bond, Tommy Bond, Greg Ladner, Samantha Williams; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 4:00 PM at North Spoon Baptist Church Tabernacle, 56 Mitchell Baughman Road, Poplarville, Mississippi 39470. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM until services, Sunday at the church.
