Patsy Rae Jones

Patsy Rae Jones, 81, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, at Bedford Care Nursing Home in Picayune, MS. Born in Poplarville on April 2, 1944, Pat was a lifelong resident of the area, though she cherished the decade she spent in Farmington, New Mexico.

For many years, Pat was a familiar face in the community as the owner of Pat’s Sewing Shop.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Jones; her parents, W.J. “Bill” and Norma Lambert; and her brothers, Bob and Steve Lambert.

Her legacy lives on through her brothers, Tom and Olan Lambert; her sons, Charlie Stevens (Deborah) and Darin A. Stevens; four grandchildren, Darin L.Stevens (Amy), Carlos Stevens, Brix Crombie, and Jennifer Merritt; and two great-grandchildren, Viktor and Raeleigh.

Pat was known for her adventurous spirit and was always up for a new experience, whether it was a quick trip or simply enjoying Chinese food. More importantly, she was a compassionate listener who made everyone she met feel truly seen and valued. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to honor Pat’s life on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at White Sands Baptist Church (2037 W Hwy 26, Poplarville, MS 39470). A Celebration of Life, officiated by Pastor David Steele, will begin at 11:00 am. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 10:00 am until the celebration begins. Please plan to join the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments afterward.
