Robert Stephen Nestle

Robert was born March 23, 1949 in Gloversville, New York to Jessie Rowe Peed Nestle and Willard Ralph Nestle. He lived his younger years in the Cocoa Beach, Florida area and graduated in 1967 from Merritt Island (Florida) High School. After moving to Mississippi he started working at Stennis Space Center as a Mechanical Technician under various contractors and retired in 2011.

He married the former Heather Alice Michie on December 15, 1977 in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.

He enjoyed gardening, music, hunting, fishing, art, and relaxing on the back porch with his best pal, his dog, Buddy. Above all, he loved his family. He will be sorely missed.

His parents precede him in death.

Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Heather Nestle; son Bobby Nestle (Carol); son Nicholas Nestle; son Christopher Nestle (Jeanne); and son Stephen Nestle (Ashley); sister Gina Nestle Wright and nephew Justin Irby; grandchildren, Halie, Sydney, Elizabeth, Oliviah, Nicholas, Christopher, Devin, Tali, and Daniel.

A visitation for Robert will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Poplarville First United Methodist Church, 708 S Julia St, Poplarville, Mississippi, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert's memory may be made to Poplarville First United Methodist Church - Missions, 708 S Julia Street, Poplarville, MS 39470.
