Albert was predeceased by the love of his life, Beverley, and his son Mark. Left to cherish his memory are his six step-children Cindy (Kevin), Kandi (Kevin), Gay (Butch), Susan (Steve) and Bud (Susan), Guy (Pat) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Albert was born on July 24,1938, spending his early years in Arcola, Sask. After spending many years as a mechanic, he eventually moved to Calgary, Alberta, where he worked for the city as a heavy-duty mechanic and supervisor. It is also there that he met his future wife and her six young children, with whom he quickly bonded.
After retiring, Albert and Bev moved to Vancouver Island, settling in Port Alberni, where they bought a home and nurtured lasting friendships over the years.
Albert was known for his love of family, philosophy, and art. He could often be found painting his canvases when he wasn’t tinkering with one mechanical projects or another.
A special thank you to Al's dear friend Scott Wear for always being there. The family would also like to thank Quality Foods and The Medicine Shop in Port Alberni for making life easier for Al.
May he rest in well-deserved peace.
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”
