MARZINKE, Alice Marie Claire; It is with heavy hearts that we wish to announce that Alice Marzinke passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the age of 88 years. She is survived by her loving family; daughter Susan Price (Ron), son Larry Marzinke (Sheila), grandson Derek Marzinke and granddaughter Rylie Marzinke (Nick). Extended family across Canada and Germany will also miss her. Alice was predeceased by her husband Ron and daughter Linda.

Mom was happy as a homemaker; "making our house a home". She was a wonderful cook and baker and canned up anything that would fit in a jar. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. Winning at the casino and doing jigsaw puzzles was also enjoyed by her.

Thank you to friends and family for your love and support.

Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Dear Susan and Larry,
Please accept our deepest condolences from the Burnip family at this time. Alice was such a wonderful part of our world during a season when she provided child care for us. Her smile was infectious...cheerful and always so welcoming...a yummy baker, meticulous homemaker...always encouraging and accomodationg. Our daughter, Meegan learned how to bake with Alice. Ron was such a support as well. They faced tough times together ( especially the loss of Linda) and were a good model for all of us I pray that your good memories bring you comfort.
Love, Lynn, Rick, Meegan Burnip

Although I have not seen Alice since before I left Port Alberni in 2005, I have thought of her over the years. She was such a wonderful friend to my mother Milly Toly. I can only remember Alice ever having a smile on her face and hearing her delightful laugh - to me, Alice lit up the room when she came in. Please accept my sincerest sympathy during this time of loss. The world will truly miss Alice.

My heartfelt condolences to Alice's family and friends. Alice was such a wonderful hostess and had a way of making others feel so welcomed and loved. I cared for Alice and Ron very much and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to know them. It was inspiring for me to witness how much your mom and dad loved each other and their children. I pray the many joyful memories of your parents will bring you comfort in your time of sorrow. God bless, love Sheila

Dear Susan & Larry & families:
I will always cherish the last visit with Auntie & Uncle. Every time I use the potholders that she gave me I think of her. Auntie was a wonderful Aunt that I wish we had lived closer to so that we could have gotten to know her better.
Take care of each other. With love, Denise

Dear Susan - I will always remember your mom... and your dad too, with fond memories when they would come shopping at Safeway on 10th Avenue, they were a lovely couple. So sorry for your loss.
