Andrea Marie Bradshaw

Andrea was the devoted mother of Alex, a beloved daughter and sister, and a cherished friend to many. Born and raised in Tofino, she returned home full-time in 2018, after time in New York and Victoria.

Andrea found joy in life’s simple beauties: a misty morning walk on the beach, a gorgeous piece of fabric, a bowl of fresh cherries, a perfectly wrapped gift, a vintage teacup, or a Tofino sunset. She loved bringing people together around a beautifully prepared meal and expressed her creativity in countless ways, including making the spectacular wedding cakes for both of her sisters.

She genuinely loved her work at the District and the people she worked with. It was so much more than a job to her. She treasured the daily connections she made with fellow Tofitians at the front desk and took great pride in being part of her community. It felt as though she had truly found where she belonged.

Andrea is deeply missed already, and her absence leaves an immeasurable space in our hearts.

In keeping with Andrea’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, we invite you to honour her by taking a walk on the beach, sharing a beautiful meal, or noticing the small moments of beauty she loved so much.

Our family would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and staff at Tofino General Hospital for the compassionate care they provided to Andrea.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Andrea’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Tofino General Hospital Foundation.
