Barb was a loving wife/partner, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an active member of the Sunshine Club.
Predeceased by: parents Jane and James Newrick; husband Douglas Dorrence Atkinson.
Survived by partner and best friend Norman; children Douglas, Charlene and Cindy; sister Janice (Nick); grandchildren Brodie, Samantha and Lindsay.
She leaves behind many family and friends and we will all miss her unforgettable laughter and quick wit.
A memorial service will be held at Chapel of Memories on Saturday June 20, 1:00-2:00 PM, with a tea to follow 2:00-4:00 PM.
Donations can be made to Mid-Island Kidney Association in honor of Barb's memory.
