David Andrew Saler

Dave grew up in Port Alberni with his loving family, Joe and Grace Saler and brother Dean. Dave’s career was in the health and social fields, including health care worker, teaching assistant, recreational therapist and mental health support worker. Dave loved his work and took pride in helping others.

Dave lived in the Toronto area, the Interior of BC, Vancouver, Victoria, and even New Zealand. New Zealand was a special time in his life. Everywhere Dave went he made great friends. Eventually he returned to his home town. He loved his home town of Port Alberni. He would often say, “gotta love this town”. Dave loved the outdoors, taking his truck to the local lakes for a swim. He was crazy about watching his sports and the local Bulldogs team.

Dave is survived by his brother Dean, sister-in law Bhavna and nephew Noah. His Uncle Roy, Aunt Judy and cousins Derek & Jennifer, Mathew, Mark, and Brian. Dave has an abundance of friends: Darren & Illiana, Dave R, Krista & Ayla & Edgar, Brenda, Mel & Adam, Agnus, Boyd, Ross, Donald, Marg, Shar, Janet, Tez, Maria, Corina, Sal, Tim, Todd, Barb, Gary, Deanna, Patty and many more. He will be greatly missed by all.

At Dave’s expressed wishes no funeral or memorial service will be held. Online condolences and memories may be shared on this website
