Dolores Hazel Doughty

Dolores was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Cleola Doughty. She leaves behind her sister, Gail Heigl and brother, Gary (Vittoria) Doughty and special puppy, Gracie as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Dolores was a very generous person and always happy to please others. She enjoyed dancing, playing crib and pool. Dolores spent much time at the Pathways Program where she enjoyed doing crafts and showing others how to play pool and crib. She loved helping where she could.

Dolores will be sorrily missed by all whose lives she touched.

We extend a big thank you to all who helped Dolores navigate through life with a disability. We think of Jody, her worker from Community Living, and all who were involved in her wellbeing - Thank You all!

We also want to extend a big thank you to Dr Van Zyl, Dr Woodley and Dr Pedersen who all took such good care of Dolores through out her lifetime and as well as in the last weeks of her life.

Thank you also to the nursing staff at West Coast General Hospital and at Ty Watson House. You all gave us such care as we dealt with Dolores' illness and passing. We are forever grateful to you all.

We are comforted to know that Dolores has gone home to be with Jesus and that there is no more pain for her.

There will be no formal service in keeping with her wishes. Family will gather at a later date to celebrate the wonderful person Dolores was and her life.
