

She is predeceased by her loving husband (Doug), father (George), mother (Peggy) and sister (Sherry). Donna is survived by her daughters Tania Walter Gardiner (Jonathan), Dana Walter (Brad Parker), grandchildren Raena and Bryn, sister Barb, sister-in-law Janet, the family dog, and many relatives and friends.
We will forever remember and cherish Donna as an unconditionally loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. During her youth, Donna enjoyed participating in cheerleading, basketball and softball, reflecting her lifelong enthusiasm for teamwork and community. She was an avid reader, a talented needle point creator, and a lifelong learner.
Donna found great fulfillment in her career as a counsellor, Registered Psychiatric Nurse in Mental Health, and Family Therapist. She also maintained a private practice as a Registered Clinical Counsellor, where she compassionately supported countless individuals and families.
Donna was a dedicated community member and generously gave her time as a volunteer in many capacities. She also coached a variety of youth sports, and taught Sunday School, leaving a lasting impact on many lives she touched through her kindness, encouragement, and unwavering commitment to others.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 27, 2026, at 1 pm. Join us at Alberni Valley United Church at 3747 Church Street, Port Alberni, B.C. to celebrate Donna’s life.
