Douglas John MacDonald
23 August, 1944 – 5 May, 2018
IN THE CARE OF
It is with a very heavy heart that we say goodbye to our brother Douglas John MacDonald.
Doug was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and completed his apprenticeship certification as a Boiler Maker (Erector) in December 1977. His trade took him throughout the province of BC and beyond.
On one of his jobs, he arrived in Port Alberni and liked the community so much that he made it his permanent home in 1989.
Doug is survived by his sisters Maureen Kasper (Larry) and Sheelagh Quetsch (Hans) and many loving nieces and nephews as well as his son who came into his life just before he passed.
Doug will be missed by all who knew him. A remembrance for Doug will be announced at a later date.
