1952 – 2019
Passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2019 at his home in Port Alberni, BC at the age of 66. Predeceased by his sister Lillian and his cousin Mark. Ed is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 46 years Sandi; son Clinton (Andrea) and granddaughter Ella; chosen daughter Trudy and grandchildren Jaden and Sarah; 5 siblings as well as a large extended family.
Ed was born in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba on July 1, 1952. He moved to Port Alberni in 1966 and in 1968 met Sandi. They married in 1972 and welcomed their son, Clinton in 1974. Ed had a life-long career in the forest industry becoming a highly skilled logger, serving 40 years with M&B, Sproat Lake Division. He went on to start his own logging company in 2007 and eventually retired in 2015.
Ed was a well known long time 4x4 racer and he also enjoying hunting, camping and fishing. More than anything, Ed loved spending time with his family and friends but especially his beloved grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed’s memory may be made to the BC SPCA

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the first responders who attended at their time of need. Also to their family, special cousins Diane and Myles, loving nieces and nephews and numerous friends who have provided so much care and support.
