Eveline was one of 12 children in a family from St Claude, Manitoba. She enjoyed telling tales of her childhood adventures with her siblings.
She became a nurse in Winnipeg where she met Jim. Their life together took them to Victoria, Prince Rupert, Port Alberni, Faro, Fernie and finally back to Port Alberni. Eveline was a devoted mother to their three daughters, pausing her career to be at home with them when they were small.
After a long career in nursing, Eveline enjoyed a retirement filled with travel, gardening, and games including golf, lawn and carpet bowling, table tennis and more. She loved her property on the lake, kayaking and swimming in the summer months. She loved to laugh and enjoyed singing, despite not always knowing all the words. Dinners with family were a particular joy.
Eveline died after a short illness due to esophageal cancer.
She will be deeply missed.
