Predeceased by husband Leo, brother Roland, sister Lucy, son-in-law Malcolm, brothers-in-law Steve and Fred, sisters-in-law Millie and Irene.Survived by children Diane, Norman (Robin), Ron (Joan), Lynne (Ted), Claudia (Earle), and Barbara (Doug) as well as 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and foster daughter Lana Reese; siblings Bob, Ben (Margaret), Jean and Rose (Vic) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Born on the prairies, Frances came to Port Alberni in the late 40’s. She met her husband Leo here and the two got married and soon after started a family. Frances kept busy raising her children, gardening, and keeping the house in order, as well as being a member in the Catholic Women’s League for over 50 years.
The family would like to thank Dr. De Pape and Celine for the wonderful care they gave our mother over the years. We would also like to express our appreciation to the green wing staff at Eagle Park for the exceptional care provided for Mom the last several months.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am, Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Holy Family/Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Road, Port Alberni, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances’ memory may be made to Alberni Valley Hospice/Ty Watson House, 2579- 10th Ave.
