Gail Ellen Reinhardt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gail Ellen Reinhardt. Gail passed away at Fir Park Village in October 2026. She is predeceased by her husband Raymond Reinhardt, her brother Donald Fraser, her sister-in-law Freda Fraser, and her parents Eunice and Bertram Fraser.

Gail was born and raised in Port Alberni, BC, in 1939. She started work at Paramount Theatre at the age of 16, then worked at Woodward's for many years, where she met her husband Raymond and moved to Campbell River.

Gail returned to Port Alberni a few years after his passing in 2016. She was an expert bowler and loved to take long walks and do cross stitch, making many beautiful pictures. Gail will be remembered for the life she built, the Christmas baking she did, the garden she maintained, and the family she loved.

She is survived by her children, Shelly (Chris), Bernice, Sharon (Dave), Andrew (Catherine), and Chris (Debra), as well as her many grand and great grandchildren.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the attentive and caring staff at Fir Park Village for the excellent care and the kindness they provided to Gail over the past few years.

The family will be having a small private gathering to mourn Gail. In lieu of flowers, they would request a donation to either Fir Park Village, or the Alzheimer's society in her name.
