March 15, 1934 - April 17, 2011
Surrounded by the love of his family, James Earnest Graydon passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2011.
Jim was born to Alma (Walker) and James Cecil Graydon in Simcoe, Ontario on March 15, 1934. Predeceased by his brother Don, he is survived by four daughters: Lesley, Candace, Yasmina, and Justine; two grandsons: Sebastian and David; five sisters: Edith, Shirley (Bill), Bernice, Pauline (Jim), and Janette (Dennis); two brothers: Edward and Fred (Mari), and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
As a young man Jim made his way out to the West Coast, settled in Vancouver, and is fondly remembered as saying, "oceans and mountains, what's not to love". A true entrepreneur, he was successful in business, real estate, hotels and horses. Jim was a man of action who took the necessary risks to pursue his dreams, worked hard to achieve his goals, and had the determination of a spirited thoroughbred.
Jim is remembered as a dedicated and loving Father and dynamic storyteller. We hold continual gratitude for our Dad’s generous and constant loving.
Our Diamond forever in our hearts, we love you Dad. Rest in Peace.
