John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend whose greatest joy came from his family and his faith. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Roley, and his beloved wives, Doreen and Cathy Craig respectively. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Todd (Janis), Tia, Michelle (Gary), Tracy, Erin and Trevor. He was a proud grandfather to Meagan, Mishaya, Jona, Finn, Amy, Josh, Kennedy, Madden, Kemper, Cyra and Colton, and a cherished great-grandfather to Colburn, Wylder, Paiten, Bella, Malakai, Sienna and Yasmeen. His family was the center of his life, and he treasured every opportunity to spend time with them.
John dedicated most of his working years to MacMillan Bloedel, where he built a strong reputation through hard work and commitment. Later in life, he transitioned into the chimney sweeping business (JC Chimney Sweep), a trade he proudly passed down to his son Todd and grandsons Finn and Jonah, leaving a legacy that will continue through future generations.
Outside of work, John found happiness in camping at Spider Lake, traveling, and gathering with those he loved. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life. He loved his church (Southside) deeply, and it brought him strength, purpose, and peace. His church family held a special place in his heart, and his unwavering faith was an inspiration to those around him.
John will be remembered for his dedication to family, strong work ethic, generous spirit, and steadfast faith. Though he will be greatly missed, the love he shared and the values he instilled will remain with all who knew him.
A funeral service celebrating John’s life will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Southside Church of the Nazarene. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and share in remembering a man whose life touched so many.
“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!’”
— Matthew 25:23
