Predeceased by his parents Mary and Gerald, John is survived by his birth mother Laverne; children Emily (Sheldon) and Megan; sisters, Sandra (Bob), Lorna, Wendy, Cheryl (Chris), Shelly (Robin); brother Steve as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Born on Vancouver Island, John came to Port Alberni and grew up in the Alberni Valley. He was a hard working, kind hearted man.
