Kenneth Douglas Parkes

Predeceased by his parents Robert and Edith Parkes and his infant son Russell. Ken will be greatly missed by his loving wife Leslie and their children: Leanne Parkes (Mark), Sheila Northcott-Merchant (Dan), Sarah Northcott (Pat) and Frederick Northcott, 7 grandchildren, brothers Bob Parkes and Larry Parkes (wife Moe and sons Scott and Reid), sister Sylvia Wade (sons Alonzo and Kyle), his much loved furry companions Angel, Felix and Mickey, as well as many friends.

Ken lived and worked for many years in Cloverdale and Aldergrove before retiring to Port Alberni in 2007. A Harley Davidson enthusiast, Ken loved riding, listening to and playing the blues. He spent his free time working around the home and yard, and enjoying life with family and friends.

Our thanks to Dr. Johnsen and Dr. dePape, the nurses at West Coast General Hospital and the home care nurses.
