With hearts full of love and gratitude for his life, we announce the passing of Luciano Lucio Castellarin, who was called peacefully into the presence of the Lord on September 4th, 2025 at the age of 89.
Luciano was born on December 13th, 1935 in Casarsa, Italy. From a young age, he embodied the values of hard work, faith, and family. After coming to Port Alberni, B.C , he built a life rooted in love, tradition, and service.
He was the beloved husband of Nives for 66 years, a devoted father to Nila, Edward, Flora, and Mauro (Ashley) and a proud Nonno to his grandchildren , Zackery (Kayla) , James, Giada, Sabrina, and Cora, and also to his great grandchildren Mattix, Maddison,and Aurora . Whether tending his home, sharing a meal, or offering wise words, Luciano’s heart was always with his family.
A man of deep Catholic faith who lived his everyday life through kindness, generosity, and a quiet strength that inspired all who knew him.
