She is survived by her children Peter (Terri), Deb, and Jen (Collin); grandchildren Melissa, Chris, and William, as well as numerous friends.
Marilyn was born in Duncan, BC and moved to Port Alberni in 1970 with her family. She was an active member of the community, volunteering for Meals on Wheels for many years. While in Port Alberni, she worked as a substitute teacher and at Citizen Advocacy. Marilyn enjoyed many hobbies, including knitting, sewing, and gardening. She was a devoted and loving mother and her children were her pride and joy. She will be greatly missed.
A Service for Marilyn will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Southside Community Church, 4190 Victoria Drive, Port Alberni, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marilyn’s memory to the Southside Community Church.
