It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marilyn on January 5, 2026 at the age of 68. Marilyn was born and raised in Vancouver, spent several years in Edmonton and most recently resided in Port Alberni. Despite a lengthy and arduous battle with multiple bouts of cancer, she maintained a positive outlook. Marilyn was known for her quick wit and great sense of humour and was an avid gardener. She was also very skilled at crafts and generously shared her work with friends and family. She had a soft spot for animals and deeply cared for her dogs, Marley and Casper.
Marilyn is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 42yrs John, her sisters Darlene, Sharon, Sandra and Doreen, her niece Tammy, her sister-in-law Linda, and many other extended family members and friends.
Marilyn left us far too soon and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC SPCA or Ty Watson House in Port Alberni.
We invite you to remember Marilyn in your own way, remembering her sense of fun and joy of life as there is no formal service
