Patricia Marie Deforest

DEFOREST, Patricia Marie (nee Forbes) Trish passed away peacefully in Port Alberni, BC on Friday, October 24th at the age of 66 years. Her family was by her side as they had been throughout her long struggle with poor health. Trish was the fifth child of Alexander and Evelyn Forbes. She was born in Port Alberni and grew up in the Beaver Creek district. Trish was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Percy, and sisters, Verna and Arlene. She is survived by her husband, Wayne, children, Faron and Melissa (James) and one granddaughter, Chantelle. Trish is also survived by her brother, Barrie Forbes (Marilynn), sisters Muriel Chenard (Ed), Jeanette Salsman (Ronald) and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of the Port Alberni Community Dialysis Facility, the Renal Unit of Nanaimo Regional Hospital and Wheels for Wellness for the care and kindness given to Trish. In lieu of flowers, and if desired, donations may be made to any of these facilities. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Port Alberni Lawn Bowling Club, 4255 Wallace Street On November 19, 2014 from 1pm - 4pm. Trish was a gentle soul, one who treasured family and traditions.
