Patricia Elizabeth Lesieur

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of the heart of our family, Patricia Elizabeth Lesieur (Wright/Ansley), April 7, 2026. She passed the same way she lived ~ surrounded by those who loved her.

Patricia was predeceased by her adored husbands, Barry Wright and Rosaire Lesieur, as well as her beloved sons, Rory and Timothy Wright.

She was a woman of extraordinary resilience and unwavering dedication to her family. A true matriarch, Patricia raised her four sons on her own, carrying life’s hardships of tremendous loss with quiet grace. Along with being proud cancer survivor, she faced every challenge with courage and dignity.

She ensured everyone was welcome and never forgotten. Her witty sense of humour, artistic flair and love for a quick game of cards are just a few of her signature characteristics. Simply by hearing her say everything would be okay, it felt better already. She had an answer to every problem, question or sickness, whether it be right or wrong. She took well deserved pride in creating beautiful spaces for the people she loved, and those little touches are memories we will carry forever.

She never complained, never put herself before anyone else, and never ended a conversation without saying, “Don’t forget I love you.” In her final days, those words carried even deeper meaning, as she needed to ensure we would all be ok once “her pillow was ready”.

She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her children, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, dear friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Her absence leaves an unimaginable emptiness in the lives of those she leaves behind, but her love and devotion to family will continue to live on.

A private graveside service will take place with her family this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in her honour.
