Born in Bloemendaal, Netherlands, he immigrated to Canada with his family in 1951 and spent his younger years in Victoria.
Raymond was a hard working but gentle man, he loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. He spent most of his working life in the forest industry.
Predeceased by his wife Lillian in May 2018, and one step son in 2017, he leaves 3 children, 4 step children, 7 siblings and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ray is now at peace after struggling for many years with Parkinson's Disease.
No service will be held but he will always be remembered by his family and friends.
