OBITUARY

Robert James Bradley Hamm

13 October, 1957 – 7 May, 2022
IN THE CARE OF

Chapel of Memories Funeral Directors

Rob was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba October 13, 1957 and passed away May 7, 2022 in his beloved Alberni Valley, with family by his side.

A painter and drywall finisher, Rob worked in the Valley, for Vis Painting, Pacific Gypsum and Watson’s Painting. He was a bit of a perfectionist and took great pride in his work. “If you’re going to do a job, do it right and give 110%” was his motto for life.

His passion in life, apart from his family, was his horse Apollo and his Royal Star and Indian Chief motorcycles. Loving shiny things, he kept them decked out with lots of chrome. There was always a dog or two around the house, the latest, his buddy Hank.

Rob was the rock and foundation of our family. A gruff teddy bear whose greatest pride was our children and grandchildren. To all who were lucky enough to know him, he was hardworking, honest and fiercely loyal.

Predeceased by: his mother and father, Elaine & Al Hamm; his mother and father- in- law, Dorothy & Glenn Larson and his daughter Tristan.

Survived and missed more than words can say by: his wife Nona; sons Caeleb (Leanne) and Eli; daughters Sada (Randy), Molly (Jake) and Amanda. His grandchildren Shaden, Andon, Ashton, Rowan, Mateo, Kaeden, Wil, Quinn, Aliya, Grady, Ruth, Penelope, Calder and one more on the way who he was excited to meet. His sisters Gale and Janet (Steven), brother Rick (Heather), brother-in-law Keith (Vicki), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Thank you to his GP, Dr. van der Merwe; to Dr. Javanmard, Dr. Lambiotte and the nurses in emergency; the ambulance paramedics and the Beaver Creek fire department, for your support, kindness and compassion during our most difficult time.
