

Rob was a hardworking and dedicated man whose strong work ethic was evident throughout his 39-year career in the local mill. He took great pride in his work and earned the respect of his coworkers through his reliability, kindness, and commitment.
Outside of work, Rob had a lifelong passion for old cars. He enjoyed spending time working on, admiring, and talking about classic vehicles. Whether in the garage, attending car shows, or sharing stories with friends and family, his love of automobiles brought him much happiness throughout his life.
Above all, Rob valued his family. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose quiet strength, generosity, and sense of humor touched the lives of many.
Robert is survived by his son Bob Pley (Jessica) and daughter Rena Pley (Kevin); his grandsons Ryder Green, Chase Pley, Connor Simpson, and Colten Pley; his sisters Darlene Weening (Frank) and Marilyn Dagenais (Wayne); his brother Dave Pley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Maria Pley, and his brother, Bill Pley.
Though his passing was sudden and unexpected, Robert leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be cherished by all who knew him. His dedication to his family, his years of service at the mill, and his passion for old cars will be remembered with love and gratitude.
A graveside service will be held on June 5, 2026.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
