She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth and devotion to her family. She is reunited with her husband Giuseppe (Joe/Beppi), her parents and siblings Gaetano and Nadia. Afra was a deeply loving and devoted mamma, Nonna and Zia.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her three daughters, Marylou (Chris), Cristina (Oriano) and Silvia (Tricia) and her two adored grandsons, Luca and Matteo, who were the pride of her heart. She will be greatly missed by her extended family both here in Canada and Italy. In true Afra fashion, she departed this life with a simple, heartfelt farewell to all those she held dear: “Ciao a tutti”.
A funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate Afra’s life on October 13th at 11:00 a.m. It will be held at the Holy Family Notre Dame Parish located at 4731 Burke Road, Port Alberni. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or charity of choice.
