It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Lorne Hern on February 14, 2025, at the age of 77. Wayne was an irreplaceable presence in the lives of those who knew him, embodying the true meaning of family. He was not just a brother, uncle, and friend—he was the heart of our family.
From the moment he entered our lives, Wayne became a constant; always present through every birthday, holiday, and milestone, offering his love, support, and unwavering loyalty. His generosity and kindness knew no bounds, always ready to lend a hand, share advice, or simply be there with a smile. His care never wavered, no matter the circumstances.
Wayne lived a full and vibrant life, embracing every adventure with an open heart. He traveled the world, attended hundreds of concerts, and made countless memories along the way. His zest for life and passion for new experiences served as a reminder of how to live with gratitude and joy.
His stories, the moments of laughter, and the experiences shared with him will remain with us forever. Wayne’s legacy lives on in the love he gave, the memories he created, and the lives he touched. He was a true example of what it means to live fully and love deeply.
Wayne is survived by his sister Berta Marzinke (Curtis Lange), his nephew Derek Marzinke, his niece Rylie Marzinke (Nick Love), his brother Larry Marzinke (Sheila King), and dear friends Susanne, Shirley, Linda, Jenny, and many others who were blessed to know him. As well as his beloved cat, Picasso, who was always by his side.
Though we will miss him beyond words, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Wayne, we thank you for everything. We love you forever and will carry you with us always.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at a later date.
Forever in our hearts.
