

Born and brought up in Glasgow, Scotland. He was a rear gunner for the Royal Air Force during WWII, flying in Lancasters and Wellingtons. He and his childhood sweetheart Aurora moved to Canada in 1974 and Eventually made their way to Tofino. He loved practical jokes, scary movies and he dearly loved his family.
Bill is predeceased by his daughter Rory Paterson and is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Aurora, daughter Anne Boland (John) of St. Andrews, Scotland, sister Betty Garrett (Bill) of Creetown, Scotland, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and other relatives all in Scotland.
Bill will leave a big hole in the lives of the people who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 411 Main St., Tofino at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Inurnment of his cremated remains will follow in Tofino Cemetery. Stories and condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.chapelofmemories.ca.
