Charles F. Chuck Arney, 69, of Punta Gorda, FL died August 4, 2007. He was born in Elnora, Indiana and moved to this area ten years ago from Odon, IN. Before retiring in 1993, he was the owner/operator of Arney Trucking. Chuck also had worked as a farmer in Indiana. He was an active member and volunteer with the Charlotte County BMX scene, where he sponsored a WOW Racing Team. He was also an active member of the Grace Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Arney of Punta Gorda, FL; daughters. Loretta John Harting of Greenfield, IN and Karen Gary Morron of Odon, IN; stepsons, Clive and Lantze Schmidt, both of Punta Gorda, FL; brother, Ralph Judy Arney; sisters, Marjorie Edward Spencer, Carolyn Paul Gremore, Linda Joe Morrison all of Indiana; grandchildren, Wesley Kristi Morron, Erin Jamison Sills, Kyle Morron and Morgan Whitacre.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Chucks life will be held 7:00 pm, Wednesday August 8, 2007 at the Grace Presbyterian Church, 10548 Kings Highway, Port Charlotte, FL 33948 with the Rev Sammie Brooks officiating. Inurnment will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon, IN at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Grace Presbyterian Church.
