Clifford was born on June 22, 1929 in Birmingham, Michigan to John Melvin
Douglas and Clara Etta Bonham Douglas. He came to Port Charlotte, Florida
from Waterford, Michigan in 1984. Clifford was a service representative for
CMS of Michigan and retiring in 1984 after 34 years of service, he was a member
of the Rotonda Elks Lodge # 2710 and of the Methodist faith. Clifford had a passion
for Barber Shop Quartet and was a past member of one.
He is survived by his wife, Alida of 60 years of Port Charlotte, Florida; his son,
Clifford II (Mary) Douglas of Waterford, Michigan, his daughter, Wendy Sue
Douglas of Carlsbad, California; his 2 brothers, Donald (Ruth) Douglas of Boulder
City, Nevada and Richard (Evelyn) Douglas of Metamora, Michigan; 2 grandchildren,
Chad (Sarah) Douglas and Kent Douglas; 3 great grandchildren, Jonathan, Jacob and
Ella Douglas and sister-in-law Beatrice Hockey of Metamora, Michigan.
Visitation Friday, February 22, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton
Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida. Funeral Services Saturday,
February 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, Port Charlotte
Chapel. Burial will follow at Rest lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
