Deanna Dorothy Mertel passed away Monday, December 8, 2025 at Port Charlotte Hospice House in Port Charlotte, FL. Dee was born May 2, 1937 in San Diego, CA to parents Dorothy and Clyde Day.
Dee was a beloved mother and grandmother to daughter, Andrea and grandson, Donald (DJ) Johnson. She was a loving sister and sister-in-law to Janice (Jan) and Bill Christopher. She also was survived by her caring niece, Deanna Mayville.
Dee was also a loving and giving friend to many. A graveside service was held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, located on Forrest Nelson Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL, 33952, United States.
