Dorothy M. Lowe Whidden, 81, of Punta Gorda, died April 5, 2008. Born August 6, 1926 in Belle Glade, Florida, Dorothy, a long time member of the Eastside Baptist Church of Punta Gorda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband Floyd, daughters Carol Midgett and Nancy Lee Ervin, son Sidney Lowe Jamie, brother Robert Marquis Nancy, fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday April 9, 6-9 P.M. at Kays-Ponger Funeral Home with interment to follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens.
