
Dulcie Agatha Reid was born on February 23, 1938 in the district of Mount James, in the parish of St. Andrew, Jamaica West Indies, to parents of Belinda Sutherland and the late Cyril Palmer. She attended Mount James high school in St Andrew where she studied to become a seamstress. Dulcie Reid was a beloved mother of two children Pearline Grant Mclean and Hubert Reid; a grandmother of four and a great-grandmother of six beautiful great grandchildren.
In 1965 she migrated to London England and attended the South East London College to further her career in fashion while working in the garment industries. She also worked as a nurse's assistant at Charring Cross Hospital and Seaman Hospital in London; she was no stranger to work.
In 1977 she was Ordain as an Evangelist, where she attended Bible Truth Church of God in London England and was an active member.
In 1979 she migrated to the United States and work as a dietary at Coler Memorial Hospital in New York City. She then moved to Port Charlotte Florida in 1995 were she worked as certified nurse's assistant at Quality Health in North Port and also at Signature Healthcare where she retired. She encountered many friendships with her patients and co-workers. She also became a devoted member of Community Church of God where she held several positions, such as Sunday school superintendent, Missionary president, and a devoted fund raiser for our building. Dulcie Reid actively and faithfully served as a volunteer at Tandem Rehabilitation Center and earned the respect of the staff and residents. She will be truly missed, especially for her barbeque wings and her dinner gatherings.
