Edward Paul Steffen, Jr. (76), of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on July 24th, 2023. Ed was born to Edward and Mary Steffen, on December 5th, 1946 in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from Brookline High School, he went on to study at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating, he worked for New England Telephone Company, before moving to California where he started his own business in 1986, Bass Telecom, Inc. Ed is survived by his two children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. They include, Ted Steffen and wife Kellie, with children Hailey and Desirae Steffen. Along with, Tracy Price and children TJ, Serena, and Marissa Blackwell and grandchildren Emily, Anthony and Tré. He is also survived by his sister Maryanne Smith and brother Daniel Steffen.
There will be a small service for immediate family members only. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
