Eileen Cavanaugh

M. Eileen Cavanaugh, 68 from Punta Gorda, FL passed peacefully on September 27, 2014 with family at her side. Eileen was born September 28, 1945 to parents

Harold and Helen Marden. She grew up in Hampton, NH. In her early years, Eileen was an avid dancer and had a love of sports cars as she reached her teens and early twenties. As an adult she travelled extensively around the world. She came to Charlotte County in 1981 and shortly after, began a long career as a real estate broker. Eventually she came to own her own business, Landmark Realty. Eileen was a strong and independent woman that loved her family dearly.

Eileen was a proud mother and is survived by her two daughters,

Lisa Blanchard of Punta Gorda and Colleen Carver (Jamie) of Venice, her beloved grandchildren, Sara Taylor of Sarasota, Eric Blanchard of Punta Gorda, Payton Cavanaugh, Avery Carver and Mason Carver of Venice, sister Ava Diston (Chuck) of Arizona, sister-in-law Jane Marden and nephew Michael Marden of Virginia.

Eileen was blessed to have dear friends and counted Karen Lyons, Chuck and Dee Baiera, Mike Rooney, and Ruth and Ramasar Sawh as a few of her dearest. Eileen lovingly cared or her pets Steffi and Shiloh and passed them on to friends and family to continue to love and care for them.

There will be a memorial service held for Eileen Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Kays, Ponger, & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 East Marion Avenue Punta Gorda, Florida

A Celebration of Eileen's Life will follow the service (directions to be given at service).
