Ella V. Hedger

Services will be 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 14th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Englewood with Pastor Paul Werner officiating. Inurnment later in Gulf Pines Memorial Park. Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Venice Chapel is caring for arrangements.

She was born September 3, 1929 in Martins Ferry, OH, a daughter of the late Victor and Elizabeth Reynolds Perkins. Ella was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and a retired photographer with the Hub in Wheeling, WV. She was a member of Prince of Peace Church and, along with her husband Chuck, was an avid square and round dancer. In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Hedger on February 18, 2002, and a great granddaughter Gwen Ann Howell on March 22, 1997. Surviving are three children, Bud Debbie Hedger of Venice, Barbara Larry Carmack of Venice, Sue Laurie Bill Copeland of Venice, sister Edna Ernie West of Peoria, IL, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, with three more great grandchildren due this year. Ella is also survived by several nieces and nephews, a life-long family friend Mary Anna Copeland, and her treasured kitty Lucky. A luncheon in Ella's honor will follow the memorial service at the church.
