Eloise Spigelmyer

Eloise Spigelmyer of Port Charlotte, at the age of 97 went to be with our Lord on October 10, 2025. Eloise better known as (Ellie) was born November 1, 1927 in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

Eloise moved to Connecticut in 1957. She worked at many restaurants including Country Squire and the Griswold Inn. She became an entrepreneur in many businesses. She owned restaurants and had many real estate adventures. She then moved to Florida in 2003.

Ellie leaves behind many friends and family that loved her very much. She is survived by daughter Karen Wheeler, son-in-law Keith Wheeler, of Port Charlotte. Sister Judy Woody of Durham NC, Bill Watterson (Hazel) of Kings Mountain, NC. Grandchildren Brian Randall (Vickie), Nina Snelgrove (Cecil), Tracy Webber (Chad) of North Carolina, Brian Hoyt (Josie), Heather Scanlon ( Shaun) of Port Charlotte, Ashley Hoyt (Jake) of Naples, Zumy Sandstrom (Chris) of Lehigh Acres, Joshua Hoyt of Largo. Great grandchildren Rhea & Atlas Hoyt, Jensen & Isabella Scanlon.

Ellie was preceded in death by parents Will and Lizzy Watterson, sister Melba Boyles, son Keith Randall and husband Glenn Spigelmyer.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th at 3pm at Kays Ponger 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, 33952 with funeral service to follow at 4pm.
