We offer our condolences to the family of Father Franklin.

Fr. Franklin first taught me at Mt. Carmel High School in Houston. He was a very serious man, but we never gave up trying to get him to laugh. I remember having him for English and also for Algebra. He was a good teacher and I remember challenging once over a grade. He accepted that he had made a mistake.

Fr. Franklin and Fr. Gerard were both on the altar when Michael and I were married in 1963. I always appreciated that!

Then, in about 1976 or 1977, when we lived in Clear Lake, TX, I was delighted to find out that Fr. Franklin would become the founding pastor of St. Bernadette's church. He was a good pastor and we were sad to leave Texas in 1985 because it meant leaving St. B's.

From reading about Fr. Franklin, he had many and varied accomplishments over his lifetime. God bless him!


Yes, Father Franklin was my very strict Algebra 2 teacher 
but later understood his seriousness as I taught Math. 
Father participated in Joe and my wedding Mass some 46 years ago and remained a good friend to both me and my Mother Shirley all of these years.

My sympathy to his family especially his sister that I know he was very close to.

May he rest in God's arms.


Father Franklin was good to me and I let him down. He taught me in a couple of classes in 1960 and 1961 at Mt. Carmel High in Houston, Texas.

Father Franklin got me out of serious trouble with the law and my father in my senior year of high school. A year after graduating he helped me become a Carmelite brother but then several years later I asked for and was given dispensation from my vows and left the order of Carmelites. Any time I think or thought about him, I would remember how I let this good priest down. I hope he hears me and forgives me. He is a person I will never forget as long as God gives me life.




I, like so many others, was a pupil of Father Franlklin in 1960 and 61. While he was a task master he was always fair and willing to help you whenever you asked for it. I feel that he helped me become a better student and person. May his memory always live on through all of the people that he has touched. My sincere condolences to his family.


It wasn't until I became a teacher that I realized the importance of showing your students how serious you are about the knowledge you are "trying" to share with them. Fr. Franklin taught us to respect our studies and our responsibilities outside of the classroom. I will always remember him fondly. 



Father Franklin's life was a blessing to all of us he served. May God reward him for his service.


Father Franklin was not only my Algebra teacher at Mt. Carmel High in Houston, but was a dear family friend. He is now reunited with both Mom, Dad Fr. Gerard, and they are all praising God together. May our love help comfort his family.


Frank has been a treasured member of our family from the time I was fourteen and attending Mount Carmel and enjoying the Wednesday bowling league with at least half of my classmates. He was my mother's best friend, married Les and me, baptized our children, lived next door to us with Fr. Tom, let me start a preschool at St. Albert.s, shared countless dinners and wonderful conversations, always stayed a part of our family from our children's weddings to my mother's funeral. We dearly loved that gentle man and wii miss him.


I was always so afraid that Fr. Franklin would all on me in class. But, I truly respected him. He was a great teacher and a gently soul.

Father Tasker was an amazing man who touched the hearts of so many people. I offer my most sincere condolences to his family and friends. He will certainly be missed!
