There is a new star in heaven. Janet Steed, 78, of North Port, FL, a devoted child of her Lord Jesus Christ, passed away on October 13, 2015. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland where she developed deep and lasting relationships with many. She met and married the love of her life, Bob in 1954. They have been married nearly 62 glorious years. Together they raised four children, Bob Jr., Jim, Christy and Gordon. She is celebrated by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed Florida immensely. Her love of nature and kindness to others was evident to all that knew her. She will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends and neighbors. Bob summed it up beautifully, "Her love is the essence of life."
The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Chapel of Peace at Gulf Pines Memorial Park, 2401 Englewood Rd, Englewood, FL 34223.
