The life of Jerry Armstrong began May 18, 1958 in Miami, Florida when he was born to the union of Frank and Rosalean Armstrong. The youngest of four children, his formative years were spent in Punta Gorda where he attended school. Jerry was an outstanding athlete who excelled in football and gymnastics. He was also an avid swimmer. He graduated from Charlotte High School in 1976.

A small man with a big heart, Jerry will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his companion of 16 years-Mary Christine Donohue, a sister- Mrs. Frankie White, and a brother - Daniel Armstrong.

Loving memories are left behind to be cherished by his children, Equis Graham of Arcadia, Florida, Robhy D. Armstrong (Tiffany) of Tampa, Florida, and Hailey M. Armstrong of North Port, Florida, a sister - Lena Jones (Steve) of North Port, Florida, six grandchildren, A nephew - Carlton White (Camille) of Naples, Italy, Nieces Rachel M. White and Erica D. White both of Tallahassee, Florida, a brother-in-law - Elder Leonard White of Port Charlotte, Florida, a devoted friend - Betty Searcy, and a host of cousins and sorrowing friends.

A Memorial Service celebrating Jerry's life will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at St. Mary Primitive Baptist Church, 605 Mary Street, Punta Gorda, Florida, Elder Isaac Thomas - Pastor.
