He moved to the Englewood area from Lindenhurst, New York.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the American Legion Post and the Elks Lodge all of Englewood.
He is survived by his daughters, Eileen A. (Robert Steven) Morehouse and Kathleen M. Lang both of Englewood; his sons, Michael A. Lang and John A. Lang, Jr. both of Englewood; his grandchildren, Jamie, Joey, Jenny, Kathleen and Jersey Morehouse and Emily Lang. He was predeceased by his wife Jennie M. Lang.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lemon Bay Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Monday July 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will follow with military honors at Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood.
