John J. Sharp, 75, of Nokomis, Fl, passed away November 11, 2013, at his home. Born July 24, 1938, in Holiday, PA, he was the son of Stewart & Doris (Marble) Sharp. Coming to Florida in 1970, he operated a trucking company. He later served as manager at Venice Tire, in Sarasota and was a licensed fishing guide, working on Lake Okeechobee. A member of the Venice Bass Club, he attained the Top 10 Championship several times. John was also a member of the Small Boat Bass Club, enjoyed hunting and Nascar. He was predeceased by his parents and two children. He leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Dolores of Nokomis; children Charles of CA, Peggy Sue Albaugh of AL, Randy (Justina) of Arcadia; Atep-daughter Alison (Jeff) Herrmann; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren (including 2 sets of twins).
