It is with deep love and heartfelt sorrow that our family announces the passing of Martha Saballos, who entered eternal rest shortly after celebrating her 79th birthday. Martha was born on December 29, 1946, in Managua, Nicaragua, and throughout her life, she embodied strength, devotion, and compassion in everything she did.
Martha was the cherished sister of Eloy Membreno, Francisco Saballos, Roberto Saballos, and Maria Ocasio. From a young age, she worked tirelessly to help provide for her family, demonstrating a work ethic and selflessness that followed her throughout her life. She was also a loving guiding figure to her nieces Carla Velasquez and Grace Ocasio, whom she helped raise with care, wisdom, and faith.
A devoted Catholic, Martha’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was rarely seen without her rosary in hand and spent countless hours in adoration and Mass, praying for others and entrusting her days to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Even in her final moments, her thoughts and prayers remained focused on her Savior.
Martha’s heart was as generous as her smile. She was known for her warm and sociable nature, always ready to lend a hand or offer kind words. She loved cooking home-cooked meals, making rosaries, solving crossword puzzles, and sharing laughter over board games and domino nights. Her home was a haven of love, faith, and delicious aromas — a place where family and friends gathered to share stories and create lasting memories.
An organized, active, and joyful spirit, Martha found joy in caring for her surroundings and her beloved toy poodle, Lola, who predeceased her. Her wisdom, humor, and giving nature touched everyone who had the privilege to know her. Martha had a unique gift — she always knew how to make others smile.
In her time on earth, Martha was a model of kindness, responsibility, family devotion, and unwavering faith. Though her absence leaves an unfillable void, her legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
May Martha Saballos rest in the eternal glory of God, reunited with loved ones, surrounded by peace, grace, and everlasting love.
